I don’t want my child to have silver teeth. Can white crowns and fillings be done for children?

There are options for parents that do not want silver teeth for their kids. Composite (white) fillings can be done. Also there are plastic shells to make composite crowns for children. These are not as sturdy as the silver stainless steel crowns but work well in some circumstances. There are also silver stainless steel crowns that have a white facing so that the front part of the tooth is white. This gives your child a whiter smile.

We give you all different options in our office. We can evaluate your child on what the advantages of each type are for your child so that you can make an informed decision.
